PROJECT 1 | A PERSONAL ELDERLY SPACE
Changes in health or mobility as one aged demand for a significantly different apprach to living and relating to the environment. For elderly, maintaining his or her own personal space is necesary to ensure privacy and individuality. Therefore, this project explores the idea of a personal space designd for an elderly in catering to his or her own personality and distinctiveness.
In groups of 3, we are to design an outdoor personal space that is flexible, lightweight as well as safe with all mechanisms being simple and easy to operate. Materials for its construction are from sustainable sources and weather proof. It is of multipurpose; must be able to accomodate/ support a user's activity/-ies which include seating, leaning or resting but not limited to that ( to design based on client's requitements, research, observation and interview. )
PROJECT 2 | Site Analysis
PROJECT 2 | CENTRE FOR THE ELDERLY
The project calls for a design of an elderly center in a suburban area with some complexity that includes the complexity of site topography and vegetation and socio-cultural events. We are to provide a full design proposal incorporating precedent study and site analysis . It explores design solution that harness environmental qualities and conditions for human and environment sustainability. By utilizing the clustered spatial typology, the design should contribute to and merge harmoniously with nature and the site, and provide the best of experiences for the users.
